Your Hosts

The Johnson family established the Bluff Creek campground on a spacious property in Kenilworth in 2015. As owners they try and give campers the space to relax and enjoy a camping holiday.

However their dog Rusty didn’t quite get the memo. He’s quite the pro at sneaking out of the office and using his puppy eyes to ask campers for a spare snag or steak. He’s done it so many times, he’s earned himself a collar that asks campers not to feed him!

Pet but don’t feed!

Although Rusty is the star, the Johnsons love meeting all the other dogs that come to the pet-friendly campsite. They also enjoy meeting people who share their passion for camping. And it’s not just experienced campers who come to Bluff Creek.

The Johnsons have met a few first-time campers over the years and have fielded a few ‘first-timer’ questions. They had one camper who asked if their own dog could sleep in their own tent with them. Just to be clear, when you stay at Bluff Creek, it’s no problem where your pup sleeps – Rusty sleeps on a couch in the office all the time.
