What is Nakie?

Nakie was founded by three environmentally-conscious Explorers, Dean, Jaryd, and Tegan, who, after an alarming scuba diving trip in Southeast Asia that revealed the reality of plastic pollution in our oceans, were motivated to make a difference.

Combining their passions – the outdoors and fighting plastic pollution – they came up with the idea of creating outdoor gear made from recycled plastic bottles.

They started with the, now famous, Nakie hammock, but have since added beach towels, picnic blankets, and puffy blankets to the Nakie range, and prevented over 10 million plastic bottles from entering landfill and waterways.

Nakie also recently became a B Corp with an impressive score of 113.1.

‘This certification underscores our unwavering dedication to sustainability and ethical business practices’, said Dean, Nakie co-founder.

Additionally, the company has planted over 1 million trees, helping to contribute to reforestation.

There are plenty of reasons to get your next gift from Nakie – and of course, winning a caravan is one of them.
