It’s been a long time coming, but Sydney’s first ever wave park is opening to the public in May 2024!

Located in Sydney Olympic Park, the $75 million URBNSURF facility has been in the works for years and plans to bring waves to Sydney’s west from the 13th of May 2024.

The Sydney wave park is the second URBNSURF development in Australia, with the first opening in Melbourne in 2020 and selling out quickly.

What’s URBNSURF Sydney like?

The wave park site is 3.6 hectares and features a lagoon, similarly sized to the Sydney Cricket Ground, and designed to accommodate up to 1,000 people a day, every day of the week.

The park is also home to a Surf Academy, a leisure swimming pool, Rip Curl retail store, a health and wellness centre, a skate pad, and two eateries.

The lagoon is where the magic will happen, with the Wavegarden technology able to create perfect waves at all different skill levels, from beginner to expert, all year round.

What does an URBNSURF Sydney session involve?

Each surfing session at URBNSURF Sydney is an hour long, with costs starting from $104 per person, per session.

There’s a range of different sessions available for booking catering to different skill levels, including:
