Discovery Parks – Kings Canyon is the only campsite that lets you get up close and personal to the epic Kings Canyon, a must-visit on any tour of the Red Centre.

An oasis in the desert, Discovery Parks – Kings Canyon is the closest accommodation to the iconic Kings Canyon (Watarkka National Park). It’s a truly unbelievable place to stay and experience the ancient culture of this mesmerising place, all with the blessing of the Traditional Owners.

Plus, if you get out there you could win a whopping $10,000 BCF Voucher thanks to our mates at Great Northern Brewing Co!

Great Northern have hidden a sculpted marlin at Discovery Parks – Kings Canyon and if you’re the first person to find it, you’ll win a $500 BCF Voucher and be one of only ten people to go into the major draw to win a $10,000 BCF Voucher – good luck finding this one.*

Your Hosts

This campsite only reopened its doors as Discovery Parks – Kings Canyon in March 2022, but the surrounding area has a history that goes back a wee bit further than that. Over 440 million years to be precise.

This rich history is all part and parcel of camping in the heart of Australia’s Red Centre. And you can’t get more central than Kings Canyon. The park’s namesake rises 270 metres above sea level and is as quintessentially ‘outback’ as it gets.

What else screams (or should we say ‘howls’) outback? Dingos of course. These cheeky canines can be spotted throughout the park and have even been known to steal entire packets of spaghetti from unsuspecting campers. Keep your distance, never feed them, and these furry friends will make your stay even more memorable.

Discovery Parks – Kings Canyon has everything you want from an outback adventure — views over the iconic red dirt, adventures at every turn, and top-notch camping facilities. We’d like to stay all year, please.

HINT: Where is the Marlin hidden?

Retaining the view.

Where’s the Best Place To Enjoy a Great Northern on the Property?

At the newly renovated Kings Canyon Bar & Grill. Or, crack open a tinny on the Luritja Lookout.
