SBS has announced the Alone Australia Season 2 Reunion will be hosted by super-fan and comedian Hamish Blake.

As the second season of Alone Australia gets close to crowning a winner, it’s time to get the whole cast back together – in the comfort of a studio – to reflect on their time isolated in the wild of Aotearoa’s Te Waipounamu / New Zealand’s South Island.

SBS has announced Alone super-fan, Hamish Blake, will host the one-hour program Alone Australia Season 2: The Reunion – which will air straight after this season’s final episode on May 29th.

Time to Debrief

The full Season 2 cast – Andreas, Chace, Jack, Jason, Krzysztof, Leanne, Mike, Rick, Suzan, and Tamika – will have the chance to debrief together at the reunion special. Expect them to reveal their toughest struggles and compare their strategies and experiences – and we’ll even be shown some surprising, unseen footage.

Hamish Blake – like the rest of us – has watched the cast leave their modern comforts behind and put their survival skills to the test in extreme and totally isolated conditions. Now he’s ready to ask the contests how they did it!

‘I, like everyone, get so invested in every season of Alone whilst watching smugly from the comfort of my own couch. I have so much respect for the contestants and so many things I want to ask them as a viewer, again, from a couch but this time one in a studio with them. I hope our conversation has far more trouts than eels in it and if you don’t get that reference maybe don’t watch’, he said.

Don’t miss the Alone Australia Season 2 Finale at 7.30pm on May 29th on SBS and SBS On Demand – followed by the one-hour reunion special at 8.30pm.
