Reckon you’ve got what it takes to outdo Gina Chick and survive over 67 days in the wild alone? SBS is casting for Alone Australia Season 4.

 

It can’t be understated how much the nation got around the first season of Alone Australia (seriously, we learnt the hard way how attached fans were to the final outcome!).

Season 2 took us across the ditch to the Fiordland of New Zealand, where Krzysztof Wojtkowski was crowned the winner after 64 days in the wild. Now Alone Australia Season 3 is hot on its heels, and promises to be ‘wilder, tougher, and more extreme than ever’.

Meanwhile, the folks at SBS are working in the future and are already hunting for Alone Australia Season 4 contestants. Reckon you’ve got the grit and skills to take on the bush (and your own thoughts) alone?

Alone Australia Season 4 Casting Criteria

If you’re feeling up to the challenge, here’s what you need to know to apply. 

  • You must be at least 18 years old at the time of applying
  • You’re expected to own a basic range of survival clothing, footwear, equipment, and tools
  • Ideally, you have a passion for storytelling and can wrangle a camera for some self-shot documentary-style footage
  • Anyone who’s underrepresented on screen is highly encouraged to apply! This means people who are culturally and linguistically diverse, First Nations, LGBTQIA+, people living with a disability, and women
  • The application takes at least an hour to complete so give yourself enough time

Applications close at midnight on Sunday the 30th of March 2025. Grab your possum-skin coat and handmade wallaby trap, and get your application in!
