About the Recon Hardside Cooler

Dometic’s Recon Hardside Cooler is built for the long haul – lightweight, durable, and designed with adventure in mind. Injection-moulded with welded seams and up to 5cm insulation, it’s up to 30% lighter than traditional hard coolers, without compromising cold retention.

Stackable, packable, and optimised for vehicle travel, with a rubberised top that locks other coolers in place for slip-free stacking, the Recon also has dual-open latches that give easy access from either side — or remove the lid entirely when it’s time to unload.

Some of our favourite thoughtful features that really set it apart are:

  • Metal latches that double as a bottle opener (win!)
