Did you know it’s Women’s History Month right now? Well, The North Face are here to tell you, with a rad new women’s collection to help you rediscover Mother Nature!

To celebrate the rich history of creative and adventurous women, The North Face has teamed up with graphic designer and illustrator Naomi Otsu (she/her) to craft a collection of iconic TNF pieces with bespoke and vibrant outdoorsy patterns.

By The North Face’s own account, ‘exploration is bigger than a month or a day; it’s a lifetime.’

Therefore, this collection draws on a lifetime of adventure as well as a lifetime of creative work by Naomi Otsu.

The pieces themselves will probably also last a lifetime too. The flagship ‘96 Nuptse Retro Jacket for example, has been around since… you guessed it, 1996! It’s accompanied TNF’s female athletes all over the globe for the last twenty years and continues to be a staple piece of outerwear from the street, to the mountains.

Born in New York, raised in Tokyo, Japan and returning to New York to pursue her career in design and illustration, Naomi Otsu’s work draws from these cultural crossroads.

Naomi uses plants and objects to create a playful scene that’s full of surprises and pays homage to Mother Nature.

Ultimately, for The North Face, it’s not only about exploring outside. They’re inviting women, ‘to explore what’s in your nature’ as well. All in an effort to celebrate and elevate women in the outdoors.
