The new go-to camp shoe, Teva’s Latest slip-on shoe is a sleeping bag for your feet.

Teva’s latest shoe – and we use shoe rather loosely – is a luxe looking, quilted slip-on, that more resembles a down jacket for your toes than the typical outdoor footwear we usually cover here at We Are Explorers.

We’ve lamented the lack of comfort in a number of outdoor shoes before – climbing shoes, ski boots, cycling shoes, the list goes on.

Ridiculing outdoor shoes is easy. What’s hard, is finding a shoe that actually feels better than being barefoot…

Enter: The ReEMBER.

As the name suggests, it’s a remake of their celebrated EMBER slip-on and instead of not fixing what ain’t broke, Teva have re-imagined this classic with an emphasis on recycled materials.

It contains a 100% recycled ripstop upper and 100% recycled polyester rib knit collar. The micro fibre lining is also 100% recycled and is guaranteed to feel luxuriously soft on your little piggies.

There are even some recycled plastic bottles woven in there through the collaboration with REPREVE® polyester yarn by Unifi®.

But, don’t think because they look all soft and fluffy that they’re a strictly indoor slipper. They come with an EVA midsole for durable comfort and a 50% recycled rubber outsole for grip and traction as you cruise around the campsite collecting firewood.

These are also much more weatherproof than they look, thanks to so-called TevaRAPID RESIST protective coating that should force light rain and mist to bead right off of these little booties.

Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer before we get the full range of 11 different revitalised colours down here in Australia.

However, we love the Women’s Honey Gold reEMBER, and the Black / Birch reEMBER which is available in men’s and women’s, is so slick it’s bordering on a smart casual work shoe (it helps if you work from home).
