Have you captured some ripper scenes in the Snowies this year? There are only a few weeks left to enter your favourite shot and footage into Snowy Mountains Captured.

Presented by Protect Our Winters and Rhythm Snowsports, the short film and photo festival is back for its second year of celebrating the action-packed beauty of NSW’s Snowy Mountains and Victoria’s High Country.

Sitting on epic Snowies stills?

You could be claiming the major prize worth $2000!

The rules are simple, any photo taken in the NSW Snowy Mountains or Victorian High Country, posted on Instagram and hashtagged #snowymountainscaptured is in the running. Just make sure to upload it between 1st of June 2022 and 15th of September 2022.

A winner will then be selected for each category: Action, Adventure, Nature, and POW Peoples Choice.

Plus, there’s a Major Prize Winner, who takes home a full touring setup, including Volkl Blaze 86, Marker Kingpin and Volkl Tour poles, and has their winning image sprawled across the cover of Rhythm Sports Magazine.

Hint: We’re presenting the Adventure category and are looking for that frothy photo that makes us ditch the laptop and head into the mountains.

What about the film festival?

The short film competition and festival calls for anything from street edits to day-in-the-life or backcountry adventures, as long as they’re from the NSW or the Victorian Alps.

Short-listed entries will have their films played at public film screenings in Jindabyne and Bright with a panel of judges selecting a winner based on its ‘originality, storytelling ability and overall awesomeness’.  Keep an eye out for the major prize announcement on the Snowy Mountains Captured Instagram

Clips can be from any season but must be one to five minutes long and fit the competition criteria, which includes entering via email. Entries close on September 15, so it’s time to get cracking on that edit!
