Find Your People With Our New Event Calendar

Want to find things to do in the real world with a distinctly We Are Explorers flavour to them? You better check out our new calendar!

We Are Explorers exists to get people outside, and one of the best ways to do that is with other people. That’s why we’ve created a calendar that’s designed to curate the kind of events people like you love to attend.

You’ll find it via the calendar icon in the menu on desktop, or in the ‘hamburger’ menu on your phone – just click the two horizontal lines in the top right and scroll down to ‘Find Events’.

We’ve also made it free to submit your event. We were getting so many requests every week, mostly from grassroots organisations, that it only seemed right to remove any barriers to sharing a listing. We’ll still need to check and approve them, and you can contact us if you’re unsure whether your event fits.

You can filter by state/territory, cost, and event type, and you can view the events in a chronological list or a monthly calendar view.

What types of events are there?

We’ve started with six:

Film screening – any film focused on the outdoors, adventure, or conservation

Education – training courses and workshops focused on experiencing the outdoors

Conservation – volunteering for trail work, rubbish clean ups, landcare, and more

Festival – any large, multi-faceted event that’s outdoor focused

Community – this could be a group run, bouldering night, or even a camp out!

Race – anything from gravel biking to trail running, or even adventure races
