If running through picturesque and unique landscapes is your thing, you’re going to froth the Lonely Mountain Ultra in Orange.

Introducing the Lonely Mountain Ultra

On the 15th and 16th of October, 2022, the ancient volcano Mount Conobolas, just outside of Orange, NSW, will play host to the inaugural Lonely Mountain Ultra trail running event.

The 100km ultra course follows fire trails through the Canobolas State Forest, winding between woodlands and open pastures, before making a dramatic 1400-metre climb up Mount Canobolas itself and peering out across the vast views of the NSW Central West region.

I love running! But not quite that far…

No stress! The Lonely Mountain Ultra isn’t just for the hardcore racers.

For the big kids, choose between running 100km, 50 miles, 50km, 30km, 22km or 11km, and for the young tackers there’s both a 2km or 4km track on offer, depending on age.
