Now you can adventure all day and into the night with a stroll along the newly opened Katoomba Falls Night-lit Walk.

Swap your hat and sunnies for a head torch as you take the 1.3km Katoomba Falls Night-lit Walk past some of the Blue Mountains most spectacular features.

13 spotlights have been installed to illuminate the must-see landmarks along the path, including Witches Leap Falls, Orphan Rock, Katoomba Falls, The Watchtower, and Katoomba Cascades.

390 individual lights now blaze the trail, all LED and energy-efficient, taking the Katoomba Reserve’s energy load below what it used to be with the original lighting on the site. Nice one!

The Blue Mountains Community Council has also put great thought and care into preventing any unnecessary light pollution for wildlife and locals. The lights switch on at dusk, with the spotlights turning off at 10:30pm and the pathway lights at 11pm.

The Night-lit Walk has been in the works for six years now, but saw major delays due to the bushfire and flooding last year.
