Footprints is an Aussie trail running film that draws attention to Ningaloo’s unique environment and threats to its future. It’ll be touring Australia throughout April and May to coincide with major trail running events.

 

Follow The North Face athletes David Byrne and Blake Hose as they journey through this beautiful landscape on a three-day, 192km adventure.

‘In our small way, by raising awareness of this remarkable place, hopefully we can have a positive impact on the future of the Ningaloo Reef’, David says.

Proceeds from ticket sales will support the conservation of Ningaloo Reef and Cape Range through Project Ningaloo.

What’s Footprints about?

Starting in Exmouth, trail running lads David and Blake travel through Charles Knife Canyon, Mandu Mandu Gorge, and back again. Hazel Walgar, a Baiyungu Woman and Nyinggulu Traditional Owner speaks in the film about the importance of protecting this place, and shares stories of connection for Traditional Owners.

Footprints Film Tour

Footprints is touring Australia right now, with the first screening in Bright, Victoria happening last week. But there are still five more opportunities to catch it in April and May. Each event involves a film screening and chat with The North Face athletes, and includes a social trail run. If you’ve never run trail before, you’re in for a treat.

‘Trail running and conservation go hand in hand. So by sharing this story and also some time together running, we can gather as a community and grow our connection to the sport, nature and each other’, David says.
