We’re brewing something rather exciting at Explorer HQ.

In April 2025 we’re planning an event that brings everything we do at We Are Explorers together over a three-day festival. We’re calling it ExplorerFest.

As we start the journey of producing this Australian-first experience, we have a couple of quick questions to ensure that we deliver the most unforgettable event imaginable.

But first…

What the heck is ExplorerFest?

Set in a stunning location two hours north of Sydney, the three-day experience will celebrate adventure, nature, and community. It’s a coming together of everyday Explorers to connect, get active, be inspired, learn something new, and party.

The ExplorerFest concept was first scribbled on the back of a beer coaster in 2017. That coaster has been winking at me ever since, just waiting for me to grab the pack by its straps and bring it to life.

What will be included?

Over three days and two nights, we’re planning the following:

  • SUP and surfing adventures
  • Mountain bike and gravel rides
  • Guided trail running and hiking
  • Bushcraft and survival workshops
  • Wild cooking and foraging workshops
  • Masterclasses in photography, filmmaking, and writing
  • Gear demos
  • Sunrise yoga and meditation
  • Film screenings, talks, and panels
  • Live music

Accommodation options

Tents, powered sites for campervans, tiny homes, glamping, and cabins…the location has a variety of options available to suit every camping appetite.

Who’s it for?

We Are Explorers believes the outdoors is for everyone, and this event is no different.

Solo-explorers, groups of mates, families, there will be something for everyone.

Whether you’re a relative newbie or someone already entertaining pub patrons with yarns of first ascents, ExplorerFest will have something for everyone. The underlying message is to meet like-minded folk and learn something new.
