Last month in honour of the holiest of holidays, International Coffee Day, we threw a Brew With A View comp – an ode to the humble coffee bean (and the places we love to sip it).
Seeing as our office is fuelled almost exclusively on cold brew coffee and soy lattes, we couldn’t let International Coffee Day slip by without some sort of celebration. We launched Brew With A View – a photo comp to get all you Explorers out there scrounging through your phones and SD cards, to dig up the best pic of you enjoying a hot cuppa in front of an equally tasty view.
We had heaps of entries that had us stinging to take our office coffees out into the sunshine. There were a coupla cheeky international viewskis and brewskis of all varieties, but there can only be one winner….and would ya take a look at it:
This glorious sight was captured by Jamie Humby, atop Mount Howitt in the Alpine National Park, Victoria. Not bad, not bad at all.
Here are some of favourite runners up:
‘This picture was taken by my friend Austin White after a severe hail storm which left low clouds to be broken through by the sunset. He’d just given me that little flask a few days before and snapped this cracker shot of my home and my happy place.’
‘We were snowshoeing out of Guthega in Kosciuszko National Park, for Father’s Day.’
‘Here we’re at the top of Little Mt Peel (1311m – South Island, NZ), which has the cutest 2-person shelter perched just below the summit, making it the perfect spot to take a brew and catch the last sunrays before bunkering down for a cold night. This was taken the next morning on the tiny deck before having breakfast while looking down on the Canterbury plains.’
Until next year coffee addicts!
Have a brew-tiful day!
