Sara Aurorae

(She/her) By day, Sara works in the field of social policy and human rights, bringing a strong legal foundation to her work through a Juris Doctor and a master’s degree in human rights law. She's volunteered in refugee camps in war-torn countries internationally, and her professional life is grounded in ensuring systems protect and elevate human dignity, especially for children. Outside of working hours, Sara’s focus shifts outdoors and skywards. A keen hiker and astrophotographer, her adventures are often built around dark skies, remote landscapes, and long nights behind the camera. She has spent many years travelling throughout Australia and internationally, hiking in extraordinary locations, with favourites including New Zealand, Vietnam, and Hawai‘i. Sara has also published a fiction novel exploring the psychological impacts of workplace bullying and is currently writing her second book, which also uses fiction to reflect real world experiences of family violence.
