Master of breathwork and icy waters, Dutch extreme athlete, Wim Hof, is bringing his world-renowned (and self-titled) cold-exposure method to Sydney’s Human Kind Festival in March.

Who’s Wim Hof Again?

I’d be surprised if you haven’t heard of Wim Hof – if you’re like me, someone probably mentions him every time you jump in an icy alpine stream.

The man is an extreme-endurance athlete, who’s put himself through some bloody tough yakka – from summitting Mt Kilimanjaro in shorts to running a half marathon, barefoot, above the Arctic Circle – thanks to his self-developed breathing and cold exposure method that’s helping prove people are tougher than they think.

The Wim Hof Method has taken the world by icy storm and you probably know plenty of people who exclusively take showers now because of it.

Well, the man is coming Down Under to host his masterclass, including guided ice baths, to the attendees at Human Kind Festival, a not-for-profit festival held at Sydney’s Luna Park.

What is the Human Kind Festival?

Happening between the 16th-18th of March 2023, Human Kind Festival is set to be ‘an immersive summit for the curious, the visionary, the bold, and the good’, and Wim Hof isn’t the only recognisable name on the lineup.

Nedd Brockman, Guy Sebastian, Jim Jeffries, and Reggie Watts, are just a few of the 50+ world-class speakers, musicians, comedians, humanitarians, influencers, and change-makers headlining the festival ‘for our collective future’.
