Episode 1 – Malleefowl

Episode 1 has just dropped and is all about the obscure and elusive Malleefowl. James and Elysee track this bird down in the desert-like Mallee region of north-west Victoria, where they learn about its laborious lifestyle and compost-powered incubating mounds.

They meet a group of volunteers who visit the Mallee region every breeding season to record important Malleefowl data to help aid its recovery, head into the bush with Ecologist Mirinda Thorpe to track down Malleefowl mounds, and visit her revegetated property to learn how this can be a solution to habitat clearing.
