In October 2024, Lachy Morton smashed the record for cycling a lap around Australia by completing the 14,210km ride in just 30 days. Now you can relive his journey with the newly released feature film, The Great Southern Country.

Lachy Morton rode over 460km per day, every day for a month, supported by his family and team, all whilst his brother Gus filmed the journey through endless country towns, along outback highways, down coastlines, and through every capital city (bar Canberra).

Lachy not only broke the previous record by over a week but beat his own goal by five days as well.

From sleepy pre-dawn starts to endless gas station meals and straight road after straight road, Gus captured it all. During the ride, Lachy raised over $140,000 for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and you can still make donations.

Pull up a spot on the couch, hit play on the video up the top of the screen, and watch Lachy Morton achieve an unmatched feat of human endurance in The Great Southern Country.
