If you haven’t heard of Beau Miles yet, it’s my pleasure to be the one to introduce you. Beau is a man making adventure happen through local expeditions, one quirky and creative idea at a time. As well as being a Lecturer of Outdoor Education at Monash University, Beau makes short films about his wild escapades; much to our viewing pleasure.

His latest film, ‘Run The Line’ sees Beau piece together the old Warragul-Noojee train line, through the medium of trail running. A 43km railway line that once transported people across the Victorian countryside, now dismantled and displaced by the suburbs, farms and nature that’s grown over it. Beau has a hell of a time discovering the history of this old train line and manoeuvring the obstacles that he runs into along the way.

‘Run The Line’ won People’s Choice Award at the Port Fairy Adventure Film Festival this year. No shocks there – Beau is the people’s Explorer and will inspire you to turn the most ordinary of tasks, places and days into an adventure.

Listen to Beau chat about his latest caper on ABC Radio.
