Your Hosts

Belinda took over The Clarence Gorge Campsite nearly three years ago, after spending 20 years managing a stud bull farm. That farming background means you’ll probably spot a cow or 50 on your trip, with the campsite also a working cattle farm.

And it’s not just the cows that are welcome at Clarence Gorge, but pets too, making it the perfect getaway for your furry friends as well as your group of adventure-loving besties.

This is back-to-basics camping at its best, with tonnes of unpowered sites to choose from, plus a little luxury in the form of a long drop toilet and the chance of a hot shower. But the real drawcard of this campsite is the unspoilt 10km of Clarence River that is only accessible via the property. There are copious swim holes to choose from, fishing for days, and even a private waterfall walk.

Even the drive to the property is unforgettable with views so incredible that the property has hosted multiple fishing and four-wheel drive shows. Oh, and in case the name didn’t give it away, there’s a needs-to-be-seen-to-be-believed gorge too. Grab the kayak, your mates, and a cold can of Great Northern and we’ll meet you there.

HINT: Where is the Marlin hidden?

If you get stumped on the way up, you might just find it on the way back. Better get walking.

Where Is the Best Place To Enjoy a Great Northern Brew on the Property?

Pick a waterhole, sit, back, relax and enjoy. With 10km of Clarence River to choose from you’re spoilt for choice.
