Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service has announced that the cost of walking both the Overland Track and the Three Capes Track will increase from the 1st of July 2023.

The Overland Track will see its first fee increase since 2012 from $200 to $285 for adults walking the six-day 65km track. While the Three Capes Track, which involves self-catered cabin accommodation over the four days and 48km, will increase from $495 to $595 for adults.

Tas Parks has said that the fee increases have been carefully considered to ensure they’re still representing value-for-money experiences. The additional revenue made will be re-invested into the tracks and facilities of these world-class walks to ensure they’re maintained at a high standard in the remote and harsh landscapes they traverse.

Bookings for the October 2023 to May 2024 walking season on the Overland Track open on Tuesday 4th of July 2023.
