Keen to get tf out of your state? The NT wants people to visit so bad, they’re willing to give you discounts on your trip – but only if you’re fully vaxxed.

Tourism NT has recently announced a big ol’ holiday incentive scheme to get all those folks desperate for a holiday, up into the tropical Darwin sunshine (trust me, it’s pretty damn sweet up here).

For every $1000 you spend on travel expenses for your NT holiday, including flights, accommodation, car hire, tours, and attractions, you can get a $200 discount – sounds pretty alright!

You can save a total of $1000 per person, BUT only if you’ve had both vaccination doses, which you’ll have to prove by presenting your vaccination certificate to travel retailers that are part of the scheme.

Although just because you’ve had both doses doesn’t guarantee you entry to the NT. According to the NT Government’s road map that’ll come into effect once the territory hits 80% fully vaccinated, red zone/COVID hotspot travellers will still be looking at two weeks of home quarantine on arrival, even with full vaccinations. Orange/medium risk zone peeps will have to quarantine until they receive a negative test result. But green zone folks can come on in!

The discounts will be available for trips booked between the 1st of October 2021 and March 31, 2022, so you’ve got six sweet months to get your butt up to the NT!

Maybe you’ll finally hit up Kakadu, or jump from swimming hole to swimming hole in Litchfield National Park.

But maybe the desert is more your style? Road trip through the Red Centre anyone? Wherever you end up in the Territory, you’ll just be damn glad you’re there.
