It’s time to get ready for Tubbalunganer EXPOSÉ Climbing Festival at Mount Buffalo in 2026. Level 1 Rescue Progression Series is part of our warm up series across NSW and VIC.

The Rescue Progression Series, presented by RAWQ, is designed to build your confidence and competence in vertical rescue skills so you can handle challenging climbing situations with calm and skill. Structured into three levels that build on each other, this course equips you to tackle real-world problems – from hauling a stuck second to resolving a jammed rope -so you can climb smarter, safer, and with style.

Level 1 – Lowering

To kick off the series, you’ll refresh your knowledge on establishing belays in a multi-pitch environment, learn how to lower a stuck or injured second to the ground or nearest ledge using different devices, and refine techniques to help yourself up after falling in space on a roof or traverse pitch.

Who’s it for? Capable outdoor climbers with all the gear wanting to progress into adventure climbing, climbers with burning desire to refresh their rescue skills and climbers wanting to gain confidence in roping skills.

Key Skills: Top Belay Systems, Lowering Rescues, Ascending Single Rope.
