After 52 days skiing and walking 700km across the Australian Alps, Huw Kingston has completed his ‘Alpine Odyssey’.

Despite multiple injuries during the journey, including a broken rib, Huw managed to complete his journey across the Australian Alps, which included the added challenge of skiing at all 12 ski resorts along the way.

‘My journey was a celebration of the Alpine communities… Communities that have been so good to me over the years and places that have suffered much in recent years from Covid and fires,’ he said.

As an ambassador for Save The Children, Huw was also on a mission to raise money for the charity’s ‘Our Yarning’ project, and has smashed his goal of $50,000, with a total of $62,000 being raised by the end of his trek, and still counting!

With nearly $20,000 coming in during the past fortnight of my Odyssey, $62,000 is a brilliant result and the total is still growing,’ Huw said.

Donations are still being taken if you’d like to support Huw’s journey and the Our Yarning project.
