Meet Unley Bug – a passionate pedalling crew advocating for bike-friendly cities.

As the title of Act Local implies, the Unley Bicycle User Group is taking action locally by working with the local Unley council in Adelaide to push for safe cycling infrastructure.

Safer ways to cycle help more people feel comfortable on their bikes, which reduces emissions, combats climate change, and creates happier and healthier humans.

As Dylan Kiernan told us, it doesn’t have to be life-changing, you could start with riding to work or down to the shops once a week.

You’ll incidentally combine a bit of nature time, exercise, and activism simultaneously. Win-win-win!

Check out the rest of our Act Local series to find other ways you can make a change on a local level.
