Join Cam and Oli on a walk through Bundjalung Country as they discuss how connecting to nature is vital in combatting climate change.

In this episode of Act Local, we meet Bundjalung man Oli Costello from the Jagun Alliance – an Aboriginal-owned and directed not-for-profit organisation and registered charity. Jagun Alliance aims to improve land management and build resilience back into Country, by focusing on education and implementing cultural fire in the landscape.

When Cameron Doyle arrived to meet Oli, he expected to learn more about fire and its use as a land management technique that First Nations Peoples have passed through generations for thousands of years.

As Oli and Cam walked on Bundjalung Country, the conversation delved deeper into the importance of caring for Country and how connecting to nature and changing our relationship with the land is beneficial and vital in combatting climate change.
