When you think of landcare, what comes to mind? Is it a bunch of 18-35 year-olds planting trees and dancing? That’s what it looks like for the crew at Gippsland Intrepid Landcare.

In this next instalment of Act Local, Cam’s in San Remo, and although disappointed at the lack of pasta, he’s found Kelsey Tong from Gippsland Intrepid Landcare.

When the Explorer Bus took off we wanted to meet adventurous humans simply having a crack at protecting the natural world and Gippsland Intrepid Landcare is a young crew doing just that.

They’re getting the younger generation into caring for the region’s environment by throwing events that pair positive environmental impact with adventure.

It could be a day spent performing weed control and mountain bike riding or a combination of kayaking and willow mapping. It sounds like a heap of fun, so naturally, Cam wanted to know more.
