Salomon is giving you the opportunity to test out their brand spanking new Sonic 3 range with a running tour of Melbourne’s most iconic graffiti. Sounds like a winning combo to us!

We’re always harking on about how you can find adventure anywhere, even in the epicentre of our biggest cities. And now Salomon is proving us right, with their latest event, Graffiti Run – an 8km running adventure through the heart of Melbourne to explore the city’s most iconic graffiti spots.

You’ll have the opportunity to test run (literally) a pair of shoes from Salomon’s latest Sonic 3 range. Choose between Accelerate, Balance or Confidence. There’ll be staff from Salomon and Athlete’s Foot to help find the shoe that fits you best (cue pumpkin-style coach and fairy godmother).

Starting at the Athlete’s Foot flagship store in Melbourne Central, and finishing up at Blender Studios, there’ll be pit stops along the way, where local street artists will share the history of the art form and enhance your perspective of the city.

On arrival at the final destination, runners will be treated to a live art demo by a local street artist, plus a well-deserved drink and nibbles. There’ll also be a chance to chat with Salomon reps and heaps prizes to be won!

The Graffiti Run event is aimed at participants who are comfortable running 8km, however, there’ll be three different running groups, split by ability level and speed, plus time to rest at the graffiti pit stops. So even if you’re not the most experienced of runners, there’ll be plenty of room for you to join in on the fun.

All funds raised through ticket sales will be donated to Wildlife Victoria, to support their efforts to rescue and care for wildlife that has been injured in the ongoing bushfires in Victoria. Wildlife Victoria helps to protect Australian wildlife through their education and advocacy campaigns and Wildlife Emergency Response Service.

So are you keen yet? You can find all the nitty-gritty deets over at the event page. See you there!
