Michael Atkinson, better know as Outback Mike, starred in the inaugural season of Alone Australia. We get the low down on where his adventure story began. 

 

Long before the lenses of Alone showcased his remarkable bushcraft prowess, Mike had been producing his own adventure films.

He sailed the Great Barrier Reef in a dugout canoe he made himself and escaped from the remote Kimberley relying on nothing but his survival skills and primitive tools.
