The E-bike subscription service, Lug & Carrie has recently expanded to parts of Sydney, which means you can say bye-bye to your petrol-guzzling car and hi there to sustainable (and fun) transport.

Lug & Carrie is a Melbourne-born E-bike subscription service that allows you full-time access to an E-bike 24/7 for just $44 a week – not too shabby!

Previously operating all across Melbourne, Lug & Carrie has now expanded into select Sydney LGAs;

  • Canada Bay
  • Strathfield
  • Burwood
  • Inner West
  • Sydney
  • Woollahra
  • Waverley
  • Canterbury-Bankstown
  • Georges River Council
  • Bayside
  • Randwick

Lug & Carrie was born out of a desire to lower Australia’s greenhouse gas output by reducing the need for cars on our roads.

In fact the founders, brothers Ben and Dan, wholeheartedly back E-bikes as a better alternative to cars for a large proportion of trips. They want to give people in cities more sustainable transport options and believe that E-bikes are a great way for people to connect whilst getting around town.

Plus, they’re hella fun! They make every trip an adventure.

What’s included in the subscription?

Subscriptions are either $44 a week for the HSD (Haul Stuff Daily) bike or $61 for the more heavy-duty GSD (Get Stuff Done).

The weekly cost covers;

  • The sole use of the bike
  • Delivery and customisation
  • Regular maintenance and repairs by an expert mechanic (they come to you!)
  • Roadside assistance
  • Theft and damage insurance

There’s also a bunch of bike accessories you can add on to customise your bike to your needs for a few extra bucks a week. Stuff like baby seats, racks, and panniers so you can haul beers, babies, or your best mate home.

We’re keen to see Lug & Carriage take off in Sydney and expand to other cities around the country. Get on ya bike!
