From next week, Patagonia is screening the new Bob Brown Foundation film, ‘Forest Defenders’ at their stores around the country. The doco comes straight from the frontline blockade to defend the Tasmanian takayna/Tarkine Forest.

Forest Defenders The Documentary

Forest Defenders is a doco about the fight to save the largest tract of cool temperate rainforest in the world, takayna/Tarkine.

Forest Defenders was filmed by the activists fighting to save this ancient forest and captures on-the-ground footage of actions involving hundreds of volunteers, including blockades, disruption of logging operations, and the shutting down of Ta Ann veneer mill.

The film simultaneously captures the stunning beauty of these forests and the wilds all across Tasmania.

At each of the screenings, there’ll be opportunities to chat with the crew from For Wild Places, including Patagonia trail ambassador Majell Backhausen.

To catch a screening of the film, head to one of these Patagonia stores next week! Entry is free but spots are limited so you still have to ‘purchase’ a ticket to get in!
