Did you hear that Victoria will end native forest logging by the end of this year? These things don’t just happen by themselves. They take many helping hands.

Cam’s in the big smoke, he’s traded the bus for a train, and in this episode of Act Local he’s caught up with Chris Schuringa to chat about the end of native forest logging in Victoria.

Chris is the Campaign Coordinator at the Victorian Forest Alliance, which brings together more than 30 groups actively protecting native forest across the state who are no doubt celebrating the recent announcement.

But what’s wrong with native logging? Don’t trees grow back? And if there’s been a massive win, what happens next? Luckily Cam asked, and Chis answered. Tune in!
