Combining a weekend of yoga, hiking and wild camping, in this collaboration between We Are Explorers and Flow with Jo you’ll lace up and hike the trail through a magnificent valley in the Blue Mountains. In addition to yin, vinyasa and meditation sessions within a towering gum forest, you also learn all the core skills necessary to head out on your own camping adventures from a professional wilderness guide.

LOGISTICS

We leave early on Saturday morning with our rendez-vous point at a car park in the mountains. You will need to make your own way here in your own transport, although car-pooling will be encouraged. We’ll begin with a pre-hiking vinyasa to open up, prepare the body and wake us up in the right frame of mind for the journey ahead. We’ll follow this with a guided meditation diving in to the amazing sounds of nature.

We’ll then hike for approximately 5km to our secret campsite to set-up. A Yin class will take place at sunset with long hold stretches to release the muscles and fascia of the body after a day of hiking. Yin also works on an energetic level, clearing blockages both physically and emotionally. After a camp feast we’ll then sit back and enjoy the bliss of a night under the stars.

On the morning of day two Jo will run a strong vinyasa flow at the campsite, pre-breakfast. Work up a sweat, then head to the nearest swimming hole to wash off those toxins and dive into the day. We’ll then continue to trail through the valley and back to our cars.
