The Lowdown

Morton island is accessible by ferry which takes around 75 mins. The island has plenty to offer whether you’re interested in a day trip or a few nights stay. The pristine waters that surround it are teaming with all sorts of wildlife like whales, dolphins and turtles.

One main aim for me was to explore the beautiful landscapes the island had to offer both above and underwater.

The greatest highlights of the trip included the breathtaking helicopter ride around the island provided by Tangalooma Helicopter Services, you cannot really grasp the size of the island until you get up there and view it from above, definitely one of the greatest things I have done!

The next great highlight of the trip was the amazing snorkelling around the famous wrecks, such an abundance of sea life and crystal clear water helped me achieve some great shots. Tangalooma was truly an amazing getaway and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for action fuelled adventure, or a quiet getaway.
