We’re a B Corp publisher and content studio that connects brands with Australians through the lens of adventure, travel, and conservation.

We’re looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Sales Executive to join our partnerships team, with the goal of creating meaningful media and content partnerships with top-tier travel, lifestyle, and adventure brands that drive revenue and deliver a positive impact to people and the planet.

The Role

We’re offering an amazing opportunity for an entrepreneurially-minded individual to join our partnerships team.

Working closely with our Founder and Sales & Partnerships Manager, you’ll use your natural relationship-building skills and creative thinking to develop proposals that support client growth. We’re looking for a values-driven person who’s after an opportunity to create partnerships with the most exciting brands on the planet.

You’ll be covering our two core offerings: the digital publisher (We Are Explorers) and content production studio (Explorer Studios), with typical projects including branded content across editorial, video, podcast, film production, and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to briefs through insightful and creative ideas, alongside the campaigns team
  • Generate new opportunities through strategic outreach with brands and agencies in order to meet revenue targets 
  • Help build Explorer Studios as a standalone content agency across film/photo production
  • Collaborate with the Campaigns, Editorial, and Social teams to deliver premium and creative branded content solutions for our clients
  • Achieve individual and team targets whilst supporting the execution of an ambitious long-term sales strategy
  • Have active input in making the sales pipeline more efficient
  • Become a key WAE ambassador within the industry and bring our vision to life


  • 1-2+ years of sales experience (ideally at a digital publisher or media agency) with a passion for brand partnerships
  • Proven track record in successfully engaging new clients and maintaining long term partnerships to meet sales targets
  • Demonstrates a fresh and creative approach to ideation, proposals, and presentations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills 
  • Highly motivated and process-driven self-starter with a love for team collaboration
  • A genuine love for nature, travel, and the great outdoors – a passion for what our brand stands for is absolutely essential
  • Out-of-the-box thinker with a wild imagination, approaching work with curiosity, empathy, and integrity
