Anyone remember last year when we announced that New Zealand has a brand new Great Walk? Well, good news folks, the Paparoa Track and Pike29 Memorial Track is open for bookings.

It’s the first Great Walk to be added in 25 years and joins epic hikes including the Kepler Track, Milford Track, and the Routeburn Track.

And it’s not just a hike either – it’s a mountain bike track too! Over 55km of trails connect the towns of Punakaiki and Blackball along the South Island’s West Coast.

Traversing the Paparoa Range, expect to see views of the Tasman Sea and the Southern Alps, navigate your way through lush rainforests and alpine scrub, and spend your nights in two brand spanking new alpine huts.

2019/2020 bookings opened on Wednesday 12 June at 9:30 am, for trips from 1 December 2019 onwards. And it’s a steal compared to the other Great Walks at just $45 NZ a night.

What are you waiting for? Get booking now.
