Name // Tim Sanderson

Your hometown // Mittagong, NSW

Day Job // Part time student, part time gardener, part time skiier

Camera and Lenses // Nikon D750, Nikon 20mm 1.8, Tamron 24-70mm 2.8

What inspires you // I’m inspired to find remote places which involve considerable effort to reach, being rewarded with both self and visual satisfaction

Dream location to shoot in Australia // Remote South Western Tasmania AND The Kimberleys

Advice // I don’t consider my self a photographer, I just really love the outdoors and am always motivated to explore and experience new places. I just use photography as my method to store memories of awesome experiences. I think that’s a good way of looking at it.

The hike in was challenging and longer than expected as we brought too much gear in our hiking packs. Sleeping with the sound of water crashing down all night was surprisingly relaxing and worth our efforts to hike in and out." #weareexplorers

This little adventure to get a good viewing point above the highway was during the working week. A 20 minute walk through the dark led us to Katoomba lookout. No it's not the most exciting spot but it is 100% better relaxing up here then sitting at home and waiting for work the next day." #weareexplorers

With no expectation and doubts whether the detour was worth it, we travelled down to the most southern point of mainland Aus. The Prom is straight out of Jurassic park, we were short on time but will definitely be back to properly explore the beaches, mountains and forrest much of which is only accessable by foot." #weareexplorers

The stars on this particular night for me are the best I have ever seen to date. No light pollution, just the milky way going from horizon to horizon." #weareexplorers
