Name // Jess Bonde

Your hometown // Ulverstone, Tasmania

Day Job // Photographer and Home Based Business Builder

Camera and Lenses // Nikon D810, Nikkor 12-24mm and Nikkor 28-300mm

What inspires you // Travelling to places that are so beautiful you can hear your chest beating.

Dream shot location in Australia // SW Tasmania. Ive spent some time in the mountains down there before I was into photography and I cannot wait to go back with my camera. Its so rugged and dramatic which is my kind of Adventure photography.

Advice // Enjoy the moments you are shooting and don’t get so caught up in getting the shot that you forget why you’re taking the photo in the first place.

Favourite Quote // “In the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.” ~ Jack Kerouac

An afternoon picnic and swim at Killen Falls lead to hours of basking in the sun and enjoying the waterfalls cool fresh water. There is nothing quite like getting a heavy dose of Australian flora and fauna after a long stint away." #weareexplorers

We approached Mount Cooroora from the Eastern side where all the weather was great. Once on top a heavy storm was about 20 minutes away approaching from the west (which was blocked by the mountain on the approach). Being completely unprepared for rain we decided to embrace it and wait for it to pass on the summit, rather than getting caught on slippery rocks on the way down. After it passed the skies cleared up and we got this amazing Sunset. Embracing the rain was the best decision we made all day!" #weareexplorers

I've travelled all over the world to see amazing waterfalls and it is finally nice to have a pretty good one not too far from the back door! We waited for the crowds to leave so we could enjoy it in its peaceful best." #weareexplorers

We got there on a 'busy' weekend and still had the whole place to ourselves. Exploring these canyons and being immersed in nature was extremely cathartic." #weareexplorers

We watched the sunrise at Broken head and witnessed whales breaching and dolphins playing, surfed, stopped for a skate on some lonely winding NSW country roads, found a creek with a rope swing and our own waterfall, then made it out to the Falls to chill out and enjoy Mother Natures show! A perfect day to reset the mind after a long week of working!" #weareexplorers
