Name // Digby Ayton

Hometown // Hobart, Tasmania but I now live in Sydney.

Day Job // I study Industrial Design at UNSW and work in a call centre.

Camera and Lenses // Canon 7d – 50mm 1.4 and Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 and Waterproof housing. Olympus OM-D EM-1 with 12-60mm 2.8 and Panasonic 100-300mm 4.0-5.6.

Inspirations //  I am inspired by nature and the ocean every time I go and shoot. I love those rare occasions where all the elements align. Lately I have been really been enjoying shooting in crisp clean light.

Dream shot location in Australia // Probably the deep south of Tasmania. Its one of the most amazing places I have ever visited and every time I make the trek down south there seems to be more beautiful things to see.

Advice // Shoot all the time but most of all make sure you have fun.

We often would take it out to wakeboard in the early mornings or across the bay to surf and camp. This particular occasion we had driven it over to Bruny Island in Tasmania’s south east in search of some glassy conditions and we definitely found them." #weareexplorers

This photo was taken on the east coast of Tasmania and was a result of a spontaneous, micro-adventure. These are the kind of adventures that are really great, surf gear thrown on the grass, warm weather, and good waves. Im pretty sure my friend was playing his guitar while I took this too." #weareexplorers

We surfed every morning and every afternoon at the same beach for the whole week and slept during the day. Sometimes an adventure doesn't have to be challenging or strenuous all you really need is a nice place and good company." #weareexplorers

If you live in Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania. Bruny is the perfect place for a little adventure. Half an hour drive and half an hour ferry ride and you arrive at an island full of beautiful scenery, delicious food and good waves. On this particular trip we had surfed all day and then returned to camp on this cliff-top just as the full moon had begun to rise." #weareexplorers

You don’t even have to be going anywhere special just doing it makes it an adventure." #weareexplorers
