What puts the fire in your belly // Knowing how big the world is, and how little time we have on it always inspires me to get out there and experience as many things as possible.
Dream location to shoot in Australia // After enviously watching @robmulally’s Snapchats of his trip to Tasmania, Cradle mountain would definitely be at the top of the list for me. The epic coast line there feels like it’d be on par with what our neighbours in NZ have to offer.
Last Microadventure // Sea Cliff Bridge, Coal Cliff NSW. We explored every inch of this place; on it, over it, under it.
Next Microadventure // Linden (near Blue Mountains) to do some Astro Photography. I’ve read the sky is nice and dark around the Linden Observatory.
Scariest Moment in the Wild // Scariest moment to date for me would easily be my Belmore Falls incident. On the mid-tier of the waterfall, I wanted to get a perspective photo of me standing near the edge of the waterfall, with the water running past my feet (looking down to the base level of the waterfall). Walking slowly, step-by-step to the edge of the waterfall, I slipped a little on the mossy surface. Luckily i caught my balance and didn’t completely fall over as I would have slid off the waterfall. Lesson: epic photos are great, but they’re not worth your life.
One Essential piece of Gear // A towel & a spare change of clothes. You never know when you’re going to go for an impromptu swim or need to dry off on an adventure. The towel & clothes also double as protective padding for your expensive camera gear.
Favourite Quote // Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it anyway.
