Following the success of their Canberra gym, the legends at Bloc Haus are opening a new bouldering gym in Port Melbourne.

Bloc Haus Port Melbourne are opening the doors on August 24th – Global Climbing Day – and will be celebrating with free entry all day. The gym’s open from 9.00am-9.00pm and you can hop onto their Facebook page for more info on the day.

The new space, located in Port Melbourne, features Bloc Haus’ signature look of bright, bold and clean walls, covered in colourful and original holds. As you’d expect, the gym features graded climbs, that create challenging and accessible routes for all ages and abilities.

‘Our vision is to grow bouldering in Australia to the next level and to do this we focus on making our climbs and the gym as a whole completely approachable to everyone.’

Every climbing gym needs a resident doggo

Blochaus Port Melbourne houses a large training area including a 45-degree training wall, LED Moonboard, large campus, and pegboard for the strong climbers and a fitness area for those that want to drive their body even more.

‘Classes and coaching are coming soon. There’s also coffee and healthy snacks. Everything you need can be hired or bought on-site so come and be boulder than most!’

The new gym is the first stage in Bloc Haus’ Melbourne base and there’s more to come right around the corner! In the near future, they’re expanding into the space next door to open Blochaus Family. This will add more walls for everyone and give the youngsters a dedicated place to learn and enjoy climbing.
