Do you love getting down into deep, dark crevices? Do you crave running amok in wet, dank nooks and crannies? You must be a canyoner!

The Australian Canyoning Festival is being held at Mt Wilson in the Blue Mountains, the canyoning capital of NSW, on the 9th and 10th of November and it’s sure to be a blast.

‘An event for canyoners, by canyoners’ – meaning there’ll be heaps of like-minded people there to chew the fat with about, well, canyons. You’ll slot right in!

The festival includes workshops that cover essential survival skills such as remote first aid, navigation and self-rescue as well as more technical skills including canyon rigging. There’ll be social canyon games as well as women-only workshops.

This is the first time the Australian Canyoning Festival will be held and it’s set to be an annual event.

Tickets are $40 for members of the NSW Canyoning Association, $50 for non-members and are limited to 200! So what are you waiting for? Take the plunge.
